Shruti Goyal
About Me – Shruti Goyal
I am Shruti Goyal, a contemporary abstract artist based in India, working primarily in the field of abstract expressionism. My paintings explore the relationship between color, light, and emotion, often through layered surfaces and shifting transparencies.
Artistic Practice
I work across acrylic, oil, ink, charcoal, and collage, creating color field abstractions and textured surfaces that invite stillness and reflection. Thick brushwork, delicate glazes, and layered transparency bring depth and movement into my canvases, balancing quietness with intensity.
Exhibitions & Recognition
My works have been exhibited in solo and group shows across India, including:
- Chasing Lights – Kalamkaar Gallery, Bikaner House, Delhi, 2024
- Between Silence and Solitude: A Journey Through Color and Emotion – May–June 2025
I also explore digital mediums, with works like Solitude and In a Dark Room expanding my practice beyond the canvas.
Artistic Vision
For me, color is a language of emotion and memory. My paintings are not depictions of landscapes or figures, but immersive spaces where viewers can connect with light, silence, and their own inner reflections.
Artist Statement
My work is rooted in the idea that color and light carry memory, silence, and emotion. I build surfaces through layers—sometimes dense and textured, sometimes sheer and translucent—allowing each painting to hold both movement and stillness. The process is meditative, balancing control with freedom, structure with openness.
I am drawn to the spaces in between—moments of transition, where light shifts or emotions blur into one another. These are not landscapes of the outside world, but inner landscapes, where time slows and contemplation begins. My aim is not to represent, but to create atmospheres that allow viewers to experience their own connections with memory, quiet, and depth.
